Insurance Billing Specialist Job
Responsibilities:
Verify payments and ensure accuracy and completeness of supporting documentation.
Post daily payments to specific accounts/payer types in a timely manner.
Weekly reconciliation of total cash receipts posted against Finance Cash report Archiving of cash receipts records and corresponding supports in shared drive.
Review payers and post monthly ancillaries accurately.
Determine insurance eligibility and process therapy billing to Managed care insurance companies.
Determine insurance eligibility and process co-insurance billing to supplemental insurance.
Monthly review of aging reports and ensure collections are made in a timely manner.
Process and follow-up on payer denials, research and resolve billing issues in a timely manner.
Process and review write-offs for complete supporting documentation.
Completion of projects assigned within specific time frames.
Communication/Interpersonal Relations:
Displays a positive, cooperative, flexible attitude toward work assignment and requirements.
Has the ability to express ideas effectively through verbal and/or written communication.
Develops and maintains effective relationships with co-workers and supervisors.
Creates and maintains an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest and positive emphasis as well as a calm environment throughout the workplace.
Possesses the ability to deal tactfully with co-workers, residents, family members, agencies and the general public.
