Does getting kids jazzed about reading and helping to create life-longer learners through amazing customer service sound exciting to you? If making a difference in people's lives as part of an enthusiastic youth services team is your jam, we want to hear from you! You'll assist library patrons by providing information and readers advisory services and with helping to provide engaging learning experiences.
The primary audience served is children ages birth through fifth grade and their caregivers.
Schedule:
part-time, 15 hours Friday 5pm - 9pm Every other Saturday 9am - 6pm One Sunday a month 12pm - 6pm Additional evening to be determined Selected
Responsibilities:
Proactively assists patrons in use of the library and its resources and provides advisory and basic information services in the Kids room Engages and interacts with patrons in the Kids room Contributes to advisory aids and tools such as booklists and Bookmatch for Kids Contributes to merchandising efforts by helping to maintain displays Continues to develop a broad knowledge of children's literature by reading widely Provide learning experiences and programs in collaboration with Youth Services librarians and other library staff, which may include storytimes, outreach events, passive programming efforts, and other events and programs Selected Requirements:
Some college coursework, an associate degree, or equivalent experience Experience providing customer service to youth and families Skokie Public Library offers:

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
