You'll work in an agile environment and have a chance to apply your skills across a selection of Front End and Back End technologies. You will primarily be responsible for designing & managing the development of a set of new web applications (primarily in JavaScript and PHP) as well as taking technical ownership of many of our existing applications.
You Should Have a
Solid understanding of MVC frameworks and distributed application design
Strong understanding of programming fundamentals - data structures, algorithms, OOD
Experience across all levels of the technology stack from browser to DB
Familiarity with SQL database programming and performance
Demonstrated experience - code samples are best (share your github, personal apps, previous projects, etc.)
Experience working with Server Side and Scripting languages (ie. PHP, Java, .Net, Ruby, etc.)
Experience designing and building RESTful APIs
Excellent understanding of how web and mobile technologies work
Bonus Points For:
A degree in computer science or related technical discipline
Mobile experience - Native Android or iOS (or a strong desire to learn)
Advanced knowledge of cross-browser implementation (IE8+)
Experience working with Amazon EC2 or related Amazon Web Services products
Experience developing with Mapping APIs like Google, Mapbox, Leaflet, etc. for maps, navigation and routing.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
