Qualifications:
Must have minimum Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
BIM Certification (A PLUS)
Must have minimum 10 years' experience Creating Electrical Installation Drawings
Must have knowledge of Chicago Code and have Installation Drawing Experience
Will manager team of two (2)
Must be proficient with Auto CAD 2010 (Required)
Must have Strong Leadership Skills
Must have Professional Exposure and/or Experience with REVIT MEP
Must have Working knowledge of Architectural and ALL Trade drawings
Must have Strong Interpersonal Communications Skills
Must have Reliable Transportation- (Travel to Project Sites Required)
Responsibilities:
Experienced CAD Operator with BIM/REVIT experience.
Will work closely with a team of Electricians and Project Managers to develop detailed AutoCAD electrical construction and installation drawings for various new constructions and renovated commercial projects.
Responsible for implementing and expanding the company's BIM/ REVIT capabilities ensuring that the company becomes proficient in the use of this technology.
Additional Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Manage CAD Department
Must understand Chicago and NEC Electrical Code
Create the electrical design and layout of design/ build projects in a cost-effective and productive manner enhancing way while meeting code requirements.
Develop accurate layouts with consideration for cost savings by verifying actual field dimensions and closely coordinating with other trades.
Attend on-site coordination meetings to collaborate with general contractor and other trade representatives to identify conflicts and articulate solutions.
Produce detailed as-built drawings at closing stages of projects and prepare closeout documentation such as operation and maintenance manuals.
Implement BIM/REVIT and oversee development in this area by expanding the company's capabilities and by training/teaching other AutoCAD operators.
